The object of the game is to fill the 6 x 6 grid in the centre of the screen with the shapes in the boxes on either side of the grid as quickly as possible. When the page is first loaded the grid is shown with a solution to the puzzle.

Underneath the grid are some buttons in a menu bar. They have the following purpose:

• Start 
  When clicked the grid will be cleared and the shapes will appear in their boxes at the sides of the grid. Seven
  White
  cells in the grid will be filled. They remain fixed in position. The timer will start. The timer is to the right of the grid and is a count of seconds since the 'Start' button was clicked.
• Clear 
  When clicked all the coloured shapes in the grid will be returned to their places at the side of the grid. You may press it now and try to refill the grid. You do not have to memorise the position of the shapes in the grid as there are several solutions to the puzzle.
• Compete 
  When clicked this will enable you to compete with your friends. They will be sent the set of
  white
  cells which when they load them will start the timer. They will be told who was the fastest at solving the puzzle.
• Help This information. To hide it click the 'Help' button or the 'Close' button at the bottom of this information.

Moving a shape into the grid

1. Click on a coloured shape at the side of the grid. A star will be placed in one of its end cells.
2. Optionally click the 'Turn' button or the 'Flip' button to alter the shape's orientation.
   If you click on the cell with a star the shape will turn. If you click on a cell without a star in a selected shape the shape will flip if possible else it will turn if possible.
3. Click on an empty cell in the grid which corresponds to the location of the star. If the shape fits into the grid it will be moved.
4. To remove a shape from the grid click on it in the grid.
5. When all the shapes are located in the grid the timer will stop.

Your friends should be ready to play online now. If they are not online then please compete using the 'Email a Game' option.

Click the 'Go' button after telling your friends:

Your friends may also go to click the 'Compete' button and select the 'Join a Game' option.

How you do that is up to you but here are a couple of suggestions:

• Click Copy Game Information to copy the above information to the clip board. After doing so you could paste it into WhatsApp or something similar to tell them how to start the game.
• Click Create Email to email them the instructions. The above information will be copied into the body of the email. If clicking on the 'Create Email' button does not work click on 'Copy Game Information' and use your usual email app.

Once your friends have been contacted click Go which sets up the multiple player page. You will have to wait for your friends before you can start playing.

Problems may occur. When they do please take a screen shot and send it to the author.

Emailing a game

There are several ways of competing and they all require you to enter your name which will be saved as a cookie. When you compete your time to fill the grid will be recorded if it is the fastest. The name of the fastest solver of the puzzle will be displayed to the left of the grid. Here are the ways in which you may compete. Choose how you wish to compete and then click the 'Compete' button again. If no option is selected when the 'Compete' button is clicked this information will be hidden.
