Rome - March 17th - March 21st, 2005
This was a long weekend break. We flew out from Gatwick on the Thursday
with Garry and Amanda and met up with Hugh and Jane and John and Gill at
the hotel, The Executive in Via Anniene, in the evening. For the
next three days we walked for miles from North to South Rome and back. On
the Monday, the folks from the Midlands left in the morning which left the
four remaining to take a taxi to join a 60 minute queue to get into the Vatican
Museum and the Sistine Chapel and then return by taxi to the Mokarabia near
the hotel for lunch. We left at 3pm and were tucked up in our beds
at 10pm.
