Some notes about the photograph
- North is towards the top of the photograph.
- It is not known when the photograph was taken.
- The Corhampton/Bishop's Waltham road has been widened.
- The junction with the Winchester road has been staggered. There
used to be a lot of accidents at the junction.
- Alternate tees have been put in.
- The 18th tee used to be the 9th in 1946. It is now near
where the practice hut is.
- The cricket pavillion is between the 2nd green and the 3rd
tee. Half of it was used for housing the machinery.
- The first club house was acquired by Mr Newbury and was
erected by the members.
- A large gap was made in the yew hedge for the 12th hole.
- The cricket wicket was no longer in use.
- The copse to the East of the first fairway has disappeared.
- The bridle path across the middle of the course has been
moved to the Southern boundary of the course.
